リーダーとボスの違い

私とほぼ同時にアルチップに入社したCOOであるJim Bailyは様々な経験を生かしてまだ若いこの会社をリードしているが、今回自分自身の評価をするべく360度Feedbackを行った。Online形式で本人には直接情報が渡されない仕組みなのだが、私もその評価者の一人に選ばれてOnlineに入ったところ、冒頭に”リーダーとは”という記述があった。

特にリーダーとボスの違いを問うたルーズベルト元大統領の言葉は興味深い。

”リーダーは隠し事しない、ボスはこっそりと動く。リーダーはリードをするが、ボスは駒を動かすように司令をする”と言ったところだろうか、なるほどねぇ。
